How does the original Alice in Wonderland book by Lewis Carroll differ from the 1999 movie adaption?
This is NOT the cartoon by Disney. How does the original Alice in Wonderland book differ from the movie adaption?
Book:
1.It's called Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
2.In the book, she only goes to Wonderland. In film, she goes to both,Wonderland and Looking Glass Land.
Film:
1.It changes the opening real world scene from Alice and her sister sitting at a riverbank to Alice in her bedroom, reluctantly practicing the song "Cherry Ripe", which she is expected to perform at a garden party.
2.The film borrows a lot from Wizard of Oz.How does the original Alice in Wonderland book differ from the movie adaption?
The only thing that happens in the first Alice in wonderland is she goes to wonderland (they called it something different in the book, but I forget what) and she goes to all these random houses. And 3/4 of the book is her eating different food trying to get to the right size. Then she goes to the castle. That's it. But I've never seen the 1999 movie, so I don't know how they're different. sorry. How does the original Alice in Wonderland book differ from the movie adaption?
It's more creepy? The lighting portrays a creepy atmosphere and the story-line is WAY different because she goes back to wonderland and she's not going there first time....
