What year did the older version of Alice In Wonderland come out?

Does anyone remember the older version? Not the cartoon, but the human one. Alice wore a yellow dress, black and white stripped stockings, the Mad Hatter sang a song called "Twinkle twinkle little nut", the Queen Of Hearts' servants were painting white roses red... Does anyone remember? And does anyone know from what year it was? It was a big part of my childhood, lots of answers will help! What year did the older version of Alice In Wonderland come out?
There have actually been quite a few movies and television series. I would check out this link at IMDB and try and figure out which one you remember. What year did the older version of Alice In Wonderland come out?
The one that I remember from my childhood...the really magical version to me, was made in 1951.

I actually saw it listed on http://boomwatchmegavideo.com and I'm planning on watching it later.

Amazing that such an old movie can be so special to so many generations. At least it was to me :)

If you just look under animation, they have it right there and it's free to watch. :)

Have fun! What year did the older version of Alice In Wonderland come out?
