I am writing a paper comparing and contrasting the two sisters Rosalie and Alice and I need some more ideas. Please try to give me differences AND similarities because it would help to get a lot.

Rosalie is not at all welcoming to Bella, She doesn't have a strong bond w/ Edward. She is actually part of the Cullen Family b/c she was changed by Carlisle. She does not have any xtra powers. She is said to be extremely beautiful and she was originally intended to hook up w/ Edward but he was never attracted to her which makes her dislike Bella even more. She does not like being immortal and would give everything to have a normal life and be able to get old w/ Emmet and have children.
Alice on the other hand is very sweet. She has a strong bond w/ Edward and takes his side when it comes to his decision of wanting 2 be w/ Bella. She is able to see the future as soon as people make up their minds. She cannot see the werewolves though. She is married to Jasper and came to the Cullen Family to join them. Unlike most of the characters, Alice and Jasper were not transformed by Carlisle. She too is very pretty and elegant. She Likes to organize events such as parties and she also loves to dress Bella up 4 all important occasions and stuff.

Rosalie is quite vain and cold. Alice is quirky and lovable. Rosalie would do anything to be human again, even give up Emmett. Alice would rather die herself than risk Jasper's life. Rosalie is extremely jealous of Bella because she is human (well was ;D) and because Edward found her more beautiful. Alice adores Bella and thought of her as a sister even before they met. Rosalie has manged to hold on to painful, human memories while Alice remembers nothing of her human life. Rosalie was transformed into a vampire because her fiance and his friends gang raped and left her for dead in the street. When she wakes up as a vampire she sets off to get her revenge and kills them all, saving her fiance for last. Rosalie shows up to kill him wearing a wedding dress. She has never tasted human blood. Alice had been locked in an an asylum and was transformed by an old vampire who wanted to protect her from James. Alice found Jasper and then they set off to find the Cullens because Alice saw that they would one day join their family. Alice is a psychic. Rosalie has no special gift. Rosalie wants to be a mother. Alice doesn't seem to mind that she can never have children. Rosalie was meant for Edward. Alice supported the idea of Bella becoming a vampire. Rosalie tried to talk her out of it. Rosalie acted as Bella's "bodyguard" during her pregnancy, while Alice avoided her because trying to "see" around the baby gave her headaches. Rosalie Lillian Hale was born to a middle-class family in 1915 in Rochester, New York. Her father had a stable job in a bank while her mother was a housewife. Her parents were social climbers and Rosalie, who was extraordinarily beautiful, was the ticket they needed to reach their social aspiration. She was clearly the favorite of her parents, with two younger brothers.
While growing up, Rosalie dreamed of a lavish life--a life with a rich husband and children as beautiful as she was. Her parents influenced her want of material things, which made her vain and conceited. She wanted a big house that someone else would clean, with a large lawn that she would play with her children on.
In Rochester, where she grew up, there was only one family that had what her parents wanted--the Kings. Royce King owned the bank Rosalie's father worked in. His son, Royce II, saw Rosalie for the first time and began dating her. It was a quick courtship and the couple was soon engaged. The engagement went too quickly and wedding plans were made.
Rosalie couldn't help but feel something was missing from her relationship with him, despite the fact that Royce was everything she'd dreamed of. She soon began wanting what her good friend Vera had--a husband who wasn't necessarily rich, but one that loved her and was there for her, and a small baby they could raise together lovingly.
One night she went to Vera's, and while walking home she realized how late it was and she wished that she had called her father to escort her but realized it was silly since the way was so short. As she continued, she saw several drunken men. One of them turned out be Royce. Showing her off to his friends, he ripped off her jacket and the pins from her hair. When she cried out in pain, the men seemed to enjoy it. They proceeded to beat and later rape her.
Royce and his friends left her dying on the streets. Carlisle Cullen came to investigate the grisly scene, found her half-dead and tried to save her humanly. Rosalie had never liked Dr. Cullen or his wife, Esme and her brother, Edward, as he then pretended to be. It had bothered her that the family was more beautiful than she was. Dr. Cullen, who turned out to be a vampire, saved Rosalie that night by turning her into a vampire after he realized she could not survive her wounds as a human. Despite the fact he and his family are vampires, they only fed on the blood of animals, calling themselves "vegetarians". Soon after becoming a vampire, she killed Royce and his friends in vengeance but was careful not to spill a drop of blood, knowing she couldn't resist that. For this particular reason, Rosalie prides herself on never having fed on human blood.
Two years later, while hunting, she found a young man named Emmett being mauled by a bear and ran him back to Carlisle. She begged for him to save the dying Emmett, who reminded her of Vera's little boy Henry, by changing him into a vampire. The two fell in love and were soon married.
Rosalie and Emmett currently reside in Forks, Washington, but they often live away from the family as a married couple. Rosalie is the only one of the Cullen's (except Carlisle) to keep her last name, on account of her not wanting to be a vampire. It is for this reason that she resents Bella for wanting to be a vampire, for "throwing away" everything Rose ever wanted but never had a chance to have.
Rosalie is described as being astoundingly beautiful, even for a vampire. She is tall, statuesque and has wavy blonde hair to the middle of her back. She is physically 18 years old.
Alice Cullen (born Mary Alice Brandon) is the adopted daughter of Carlisle and Esme, adoptive sister of Edward, Rosalie, and Emmett, and wife of Jasper. Alice is described as being petite and pixie-like at 4'10", with a graceful gait and hair that is short, spiky, and black. Her special ability is to see the future, an enhanced version of her ability to have premonitions as a human. However, her ability is limited; she is only able to see the outcome of a decision once it is made. Due to this, decisions made in the spur of the moment can not be foreseen. Alice can see futures involving humans and vampires, though is unable to see the futures of werewolves or half-breeds, such as Renesmee. In Breaking Dawn, Alice theorizes that she can see vampires very clearly because she is one, can see humans somewhat less clearly because she was one, and cannot see werewolves or half-breeds because she never was one. Alice is portrayed as being bubbly and optimistic, and loves and cares for Bella like a sister. Her hobbies include shopping, make-overs, and throwing parties. Alice's early history is very vague, as she remembers nothing of her human life and woke up alone as a vampire. It is eventually revealed that she was born around 1901 in Biloxi, Mississippi, and was kept in an asylum because she had premonitions. Rosalie Lillian Hale lived in Rochester, NY in 1933; she had two younger brothers, a housewife for a mother, and her father worked at a bank (her father's job helped keep the family wealthy during the Great Depression.) She was born beautiful and constantly praised, making her vain and self-centered. However, unlike her parents, who always wanted more out of life (despite their already elevated status), Rosalie was just happy in the knowledge that she was Rosalie Hale, and that she was beautiful. One day, Rosalie's mother had her dress up to deliver her father's forgotten lunch to his job, in the hopes that the son of the bank's owner would take more interest in Rosalie. It worked. Royce King the Second sent roses to Rosalie and, after making a comment that her eyes were like violets, Rosalie began receiving them, too. Their relationship was solely wooing and for the physical attraction, as Royce was often too busy at the bank. They became engaged and shortly before the wedding, Rosalie visited her good friend Vera, who Rosalie envied for her baby boy. At one point, when Vera's husband kissed Vera, Rosalie finally noticed the lack of love in her relationship with Royce that was so obvious in Vera's. While walking home, shaken by her thoughts about her loveless relationship, Rosalie stumbled across her drunk fiance and his equally-drunk pals; Royce bragged about his fiance's beauty which eventually led to Rosalie being gang raped and beaten.
In an interview with MTV, Nikki Reed, the actress playing Rosalie in the upcoming 'Twilight' movie said this about her character- "Well, Rosalie was raped and beaten by her fiance back about 100 years ago, and she almost died. Carlisle found her, and I guess he couldn't bear to see her bleeding and dying on the ground. And so he changed her into a vampire, because he wanted Edward to have a soul mate. Vampire Transformation
Rosalie was found by Carlisle Cullen, the scent of blood having attracted Carlisle to the dying Rosalie. He carried her to a room where he made the eighteen year old a vampire, worsening the pain she was already in. She awoke to voices of the Cullens arguing about Carlisle saving Rosalie just because they stumbled across her when she was dying. Upon seeing her reflection, Rosalie's unhappy mood improved with her now vampire beauty. Rosalie soon avenged herself by killing all who were with Royce that night. Having saved Royce for last, Rosalie donned a bridal gown and found her fianc茅 locked in a windowless room with a thick, vault-like door guarded by two men. Killing the guards, Rosalie entered the room where she tortured Royce to death. Rosalie has killed 7 humans in her life, but has yet to have their blood.
Life in Forks
Rosalie, while living with the Cullens in Washington, plays the role of sister to Jasper Hale (she prefers to use her real last name rather than Cullen). Rosalie found Emmett after he had been attacked by a bear and carried him to Carlisle who then changed Emmett. She and Emmett then got married soon after. She enjoys cars, and owns a red BMW M3 convertible. However, she usually goes to school in Edward's silver Volvo (as all the other Cullens) to try to remain inconspicuous. Carlisle believes that a certain characteristic is intensified once you become a vampire, and Edward believes it to be her tenacity (or pigheadedness), although it is later revealed that is her beauty that was intensified.
Physical appearance
Rosalie is described as being the most beautiful person in the world, as she is so astoundingly gorgeous, even for a vampire. She is tall and statuesque, with an elegant figure similar to a model's. She has blonde, wavy hair that goes down to the middle of her back and golden eyes like the rest of the Cullens. As with other vampires, she has solid, marble white skin and purple bruises under her eyes. In her human life, Rosalie was described as a woman with beauty, elegance, class, and money. Her eyes were described as being like violets when she was a human.
