I am thinking that the story should be modern, so how could I modernly represent The Cheshire Cat, The Mad Hatter, The Queen of Hearts, etc?
Thank you! :)What are some interpretations of Alice in Wonderland characters?
Well, the Queen of Hearts would be cool as maybe a woman that keeps getting into love affairs with many different people and none of them work out. The Mad Hatter could be tough though. Maybe one of those street artists that has gone mad? That last one wasn't the greatest idea, but it could work. And the Cheshire Cat could be a cat that keeps getting face transplants. (again, not a brilliant idea, but it's something.) Sorry, I'm not good at this sort of thing but I thought I could be helpful and give you at least some ideas. What are some interpretations of Alice in Wonderland characters?
Mad Hatter = Alice's father...always looking for adventure and not conforming to this mundane and conformist world. Y'know...special and caring, mad and adventurous. It shows how, in this society, going after your dreams and standing for what you believe means you must be mad but your just you...

What are some interpretations of Alice in Wonderland characters?I was think about it and...BAM! It came to me.
I live near a pottery place called Harry the Potter, so I think it would be cute if the Mad Hatter in your story was a shop clerk/hat salesmen named Mad (or something...) with the store called Mad the Hatter. Get it? :D
The Cheshire Cat could just be an odd cat I suppose...Yeah, I don't know about any of the other characters.
with Alice in Wonderland it is always up to the creator to make the story because more so than other stories it is your dream.Alice in Wonderland should be filled with you not others.
